Greystone has completed several projects at these properties. After replacing their porches with unified steps and decking, the owners of both sides this semi-detached home collaborated to improve their exterior cladding. They agreed on horizontal Maibac wood siding. Two colours were chosen. A redwood for the front and charcoal for the side. The preparation required before installation of the Maibac wood horizontal siding involved the removal of all the old siding, exposing the exterior sheathing. Exterior insulation was augmented using Tyvek House Wrap and rigid Styrofoam board. The walls were strapped and shimmed before siding was installed to achieve a flat surface throughout. The new cladding added substantial curb appeal and energy savings to both properties. Having previously replaced the rooftop decking, as part of this project the egress was updated with the new siding to match.
